LankaPropertyWeb, the hosts of Sri Lanka’s first-ever virtual property show, successfully concluded the second virtual property show the ‘Lanka Property Show 2021 Virtual’. The event was visited by over 7,000 visitors from across the world including the USA, Bangladesh, UAE, UK and Saudi Arabia.
It was organised to attract local and expat buyers who are increasingly looking into buying properties in Sri Lanka since the COVID-19 outbreak. The virtual property show also aimed to overcome the geographical limitations buyers encounter when purchasing property in the country and the restrictions posed by this pandemic.
Held from 26-28 March, ‘Lanka Property Show 2021 Virtual’ offered discounts up to 15% for over 15 top developments exhibited by more than 15 developers. During the three days, buyers were able to interact with agents virtually over video and online chat, generating high potential leads and sales for developers at a time where physical events cannot be held.
The ‘Lanka Property Show 2021 Virtual Conference’ that also took place for the first time alongside the virtual property show, recorded a total of over 2,000 participants during the five sessions.
Featuring topics on investing in the Sri Lankan real estate market to becoming a successful real estate entrepreneur and a landlord, the conference had 15 industry professionals including lawyers, structural engineers and architects, as speakers for the event.
The highest views for the conference were from the second and third sessions that discussed real estate investments in Sri Lanka and building a house under the budget. While the former was conducted in English, the latter was hosted in Sinhala covering topics on how to choose the right land plot, how to build a strong structure, how to manage your budget and how to finance your dream home.
Despite the rising costs in home construction, people’s desire to build a home of their own is greater. This was also seen by the 40.1% increase in land searches on lankapropertyweb.com when compared with January 2020 and 2021.
To further facilitate the knowledge sharing offered by these speakers during the conference, the recorded videos of the event have been made available on the conference website.
Another first for the property show was the Virtual Experience Centre powered by Marina Square. It saw high success with seven development projects designed with 3D technology made available for buyers to experience a realistic view of a selected property of their choice.
Users were able to walk through each section of the development and observe the interiors in detail as they would if they were visiting in person. The facility will continue to be available live regardless of the conclusion of the event and can be viewed on the LankaPropertyWeb website.
Looking forward to its 14th anniversary celebrations this year, LankaPropertyWeb also launched its new user interface for lankapropertyweb.com allowing users to easily locate properties from anywhere in the country.
The webpage features the exclusive property tools designed by LankaPropertyWeb, including the House Price Index, Return on Investment calculator, Home Loan Calculator, Home Loan Comparison page, Property Buying Guide and more. It allows users to narrow down their search through the homepage itself, letting them find their dream property easily and in no time.
