Leadership Award for Dr. Rohan Karunaratne

Dr. Rohan Karunaratne was honoured the “Leadership Award for Sustainable Development” at the 9th World Sustainable Development Summit organised by United Nations Friendship Organisation’s (SUNFO) for his 12 years of dedication to the sustainable development of the construction industry in Sri Lanka. 

The SUNFO Global Federation annually recognises and appreciates outstanding leaders and organisations committed to sustainable development in a particular subject area, emphasising environmental protection, social equity and economic viability. The award was presented for the dedication made by recognising the role of the construction industry in the Sustainable Development Goals, even amidst the significant setbacks in the construction industry in Sri Lanka, said SUNFO Sri Lanka Director Dr. Deshapriya Wijethunga.
