SLT fibre to power newest apartment complex, ‘Green Star Residencies’

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) recently entered into a partnership with Idieal Engineering Ltd., professional engineering firm, which provides a comprehensive range of engineering and related services.

Under the agreement, SLT will be the total digital services provider for the 15-storey luxury apartment with 99 units, powered via the company’s state-of-the-art fibre infrastructure that will serve as the apartment’s communications backbone.

The agreement between the two companies was signed at an official ceremony held in Colombo recently, by authorised signatories, Idieal Engineering Managing Director K. Selvapalan and SLT Chief Executive Officer Kiththi Perera. The agreement signing was also attended by other officials from both Idieal Engineering Ltd. and Sri Lanka Telecom PLC who were involved in the project.

Commenting on the partnership, Idieal Engineering Managing Director K. Selvapalan said, “We are confident that we will be able to achieve our business goals by providing unmatched, innovative and world-class experiences to the residents of our newest apartment since we have partnered with the very best – Sri Lanka Telecom. I am certain that our partnership with SLT will help to gain mutual benefits not only to us and SLT, but also to our future residents.”

SLT will be powering the entire apartment with the company’s fibre-to-the-home infrastructure that will provide residents with ultra-fast internet connectivity with download speeds of up to 100 Mbps, crystal clear voice communications as well as access to high definition (HD) TV content via PEO TV. SLT’s robust and reliable ICT services will pave the way to revolutionise the digital lifestyle experience of the building’s residents.

The Green Star Residencies, in the heart of Dehiwala, is located in an exotic beach with mesmerising panoramic view of the pristine Indian Ocean and view of the Colombo city. The apartment is design with modern architecture and interior amenities to suit the latest styles for a luxury living in a cosmopolitan setting. Green Star City has its signature features such resort type swimming pool, heal fitness centre, meditation hall with yoga studio, supermarket, cafeteria, medical clinic and which would be helpful for a person to live a peaceful, soothing and healthy life in this mechanised era.
