Access Projects successfully completes construction of Anantara Kalutara Resorts & Spa

Access Projects Ltd; a fully owned subsidiary of Access Engineering PLC and one of the leading contractors in the leisure related building industry has recently completed the construction of Anantara Kalutara Resorts & Spa for Serendib Leisure Management Ltd.

The project was initiated by Minor Hotel Group; an internationally recognized hotel owner, operator and an investor, currently with portfolio of 135 hotels, resorts, camps and serviced suites and in partnership with Serendib Leisure Management Ltd is the leisure arm of Hemas Holdings that manages many reputed hotels in Sri Lanka. 

The construction work of the project was entrusted to Access Projects Ltd and was spearheaded by the GM – Construction of Access Projects, K.A.C.P. Bandara. The design and the architecture of the project have been executed by the renowned Architect Channa Daswatte of MICD Architects. 

Setting along Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, Ananatara Kaluthara Resort offers luxurious accommodation with 130 numbers of standard rooms and 09 exclusive garden villas with individual pools.  The hotel is comprised of 02 outdoor pools, 3000 sqft luxury spa, kids and teen center, gymnasium, library, water sport center and three restaurants. 

In addition to the main property development, Access Projects Ltd also constructed a five storeyed 60,000 sqft staff quarters for the operational staff of Hotel Anantara in parallel to the Hotel project. Whilst the contract for the construction work of Hotel Anantara has been successfully completed and handed over on 31st November 2016, a subsequent contract is awarded to Access Projects Ltd for the construction of its Banquet Hall of over 40,000sq.ft.
