Abacus International, Asia’s leading provider of travel solutions and services, has launched its new Abacus PowerSuite, Asia’s first choice front-to-back financial solution for the travel industry, introducing a Business Dashboard with on-demand reporting.

In today’s market, data is crucial in decision-making at any level. It pours in from multiple systems, channels and regions, and corporate decision-makers need to extract meaning from this data to properly steer their sales, marketing and operational decisions in the face of new market pressures. The new Business Dashboard within Abacus PowerSuite provides users with real-time monitoring of key Business performance indicators (KPI) to enable any rapid response to trends and opportunities.

“Abacus PowerSuite was originally introduced more than 12 years ago and was a huge success,” said  Brett Henry, Vice President of Marketing at Abacus International. “For the travel agent of today and tomorrow, we have worked hard to improve the great features we had earlier, and to introduce the holy grail of predictive, real-time tools through the Business Dashboard to help travel agents make decisions quickly and decisively.”

“Classic analytic tools and applications have always done a good job of helping users understand what has happened then analyse the root causes behind this performance, but the value of this information is often stale before it reaches them. Through the new Abacus PowerSuite with Business Dashboard, we look to minimise the latency between event and decision point.”

An all-in-one accounting and financial management solution, Abacus PowerSuite now unifies all points-of-sales with Abacus Whiz and eCommerce solutions, enabling each staff member to work more productively from a single source of finance, sales and customer data. Easily personalised, Abacus PowerSuite also provides workflow automation, information analysis and report customisation, as well as the complete delivery of enterprise-wide business systems.

Statistics from Travel Management Companies show that 70 per cent of their time is spent on fare enquiry and quotation preparation before any booking is even materialised, and that they handle on average 40 new enquiries per day. With the new Abacus PowerSuite Front Office Module, users can expect a daily time savings of more than an hour per day through the process time required for enquiries.

“We are dedicated to making the lives of travel agents easier and to help manage operational complexities to gain any competitive advantage possible, especially in the current crowded marketplace,” said  Henry.

Existing users of Abacus PowerSuite can use the enhanced version through software upgrade and data migration, and all existing data is transferred to the newer version seamlessly. The system has already been tested successfully with local users across Asia to meet industry requirements.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for all travel agents to improve Business Performance while manage financial risks with tighter financial management with all our solutions,” added Henry. “For both new users and existing Abacus PowerSuite users, we will have experienced partners and local support ready on hand to help guide them through the entire implementation process, both during and after go-live of the new system.”
