AdAsia back in India after eight years

New Delhi: After a gap of eight years, AdAsia — the Asian Advertising Congress — is back in India. More than 1,200 delegates from the world of business, advertising, consulting, marketing and media are expected to attend the event which will be held in New Delhi from October 31 to November 12, 2011.

The theme of the Congress — The New Certainty — was unveiled last week.

“We believe that AdAsia 2011 will chronicle not only the communication evolution but also provide a glimpse of impending opportunities and challenges for the industry ,”said Madhukar Kamath, Chairman of the Organising Committee of AdAsia 2011 and Group CEO & MD of Mudra Group.

Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra will be the chairman of the AdAsia 2011 advisory board. The board includes Britannia Industries MD Vinita Bali, PepsiCo India Holding chairman & CEO Manu Anand, Hindustan Unilever CEO Nitin Paranjpe, Bharti Airtel CEO Sanjay Kapoor and Times Group CEO (publishing) Ravi Dhariwal.

Bhaskar Das Co-Chairman Organising Committee of the AdAsia 2011 and Executive President Times Group said, “The Congress will look at the ever evolving operating environment and its impact on business as well as its impact on engagement with consumers in a platform agnostic way.”
