Australia’s competition watchdog has again ranked Brisbane Airport as Australia’s best.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) annual report looked at the performance of airports around the country.
For the fifth year in a row, Brisbane was ranked first for overall service quality.
Jim Carden from the Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) credits the winning performance to investment in infrastructure.
“The new road that was opened 18 months ago, improvements to the roads around the terminals, and the ongoing work in increasing car parking,” he said.
“Brisbane has also recorded the highest growth for the third year in a row.”
More than 19 million passengers generated about $180 million in revenue.
On the downside, the Queensland capital had some of the highest prices for airport car parking.
But the ACCC said some charges were not as excessive as those seen in Melbourne.
