Change of command

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke retired from service yesterday after 33 years of service to the nation.

He will however continue as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) a position which he currently holds. Here, the outgoing Air Chief hands over the Command baton to the newly appointed Commander of the Air Force Air Vice Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama who will assume duties as the13th Air Force Commander today - Pic by Sanjeewa Niroshana
