‘The Fellows’ and Chartered Marketers’ Night,’ an exclusive event where the senior members of the Institute gather, was organised recently by the CIM Sri Lanka region.
Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, graced the occasion as the chief guest of this annual forum for CIM Fellows and Chartered Marketers.
At this year’s Fellows’ and Chartered Marketers’ Night, 16 new Chartered Marketers were conferred with the individual Charter status.
As a highlight of this exclusive event, the CIM Sri Lanka region recognised and felicitated Prof. Uditha Liyanage for his contribution towards the marketing the fraternity in Sri Lanka and for being conferred the position of Professor of Management by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and recognised as the Adjunct Professor of Management by the University of Canberra, Australia.
Prof. Uditha Liyanage is the Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) and the Chairman of its Board of Management. He has published many articles on Branding and Strategic Marketing in leading journals, both here and abroad, and addressed numerous local and international conferences.
He also holds an MBA and is a Chartered Marketer, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He was the Chairman of the CIM Sri Lanka region, and a member of the international board of CIM.
CIM is the world’s largest and most prestigious professional body for marketing. The CIM Sri Lanka region is the fastest growing CIM body, with nearly 1200 members and 3000 studying members.
