Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts was once again instrumental in bringing Sri Lanka to the limelight by participating at French Travel Awards 2014 in Paris, with the reigning Miss France 2014 as their brand ambassador. The leading hotel brand was the only Sri Lankan entity to be officially invited to be present at the gala event as well as the only company in the history of French Travel Awards to represent Sri Lanka. Over 500 people of the ‘crème de la crème’ of the French Travel industry were present at the awards ceremony giving immense opportunities for networking and building relationships. Here, the reigning Miss France 2014, Flora Coquerel played the ambassador role for Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, as per the agreement the brand has with the Miss France Organisation following the pre-pageant tour of Sri Lanka which took place in November last year. The beauty, draped in a traditional batik sari representing Sri Lankan art and culture, awarded the prize for the ‘new entrant’ to the market. The stunning sari was courtesy of Sonali Dharmawardena, a leading designer in Sri Lanka. French Travel Awards, widely known as Golden Travel Awards serves to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the French travel and tourism industry.
