Cricket fever spreads across the Hill Country

The Glory Express, a larger than life cricket ball mounted on a moving platform continues to travel across Sri Lanka in anticipation of the excitement and fun of the ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup.

Cricket crazy Sri Lankans of all backgrounds have been queuing up in earnest in order to place their palm print and pledge their support for the World Cup.

Seen here are highlights of The Glory Express visit to Nuwara Eliya, Mahiyanganaya, Haputale and Bandarawela.  Bangladesh India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the 10th ICC Cricket World Cup from 19 February to 2 April, 2011.

The 43-day, 49-match tournament will culminate in the ICC Cricket World Cup final in Mumbai on 2 April. Games in Sri Lanka will commence on February 20.
