Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States Jaliya Wickremasuriya says the US State Department has been given a copy of the report prepared by the Defence Ministry on the military operation to defeat the Tamil Tiger terrorist group LTTE.

Wickremasuriya has said the report has been handed over to all the divisions in the US State Department.

Sri Lanka Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa released the report titled ‘Humanitarian Operation Factual Analysis July 2006-May 2009’ earlier this month.

According to Wickremasuriya, the report has also been handed over to the US Library of Congress, universities and defence establishments in the US.
