DSL felicitates battery dealers in Bangkok

Douglas & Sons (Pvt.) Ltd., Sri Lanka’s largest importer and distributor of automotive batteries, together with its principals hosted its battery dealers to an all-expenses-paid holiday to Bangkok this year.

Approximately 250 dealers islandwide are actively engaged in selling DSL’s Global, Yuasa, Incoe and Quantum range of automotive batteries. In appreciation of their sincere efforts at driving profitability for the company, Douglas & Sons hosted them and their families to Bangkok for a free holiday.

DSL Chairman Saroj Perera commented: “We are honoured to be able to have this opportunity to reward our dealers in this manner. They have worked exceptionally hard this year to generate sales amidst the slow economic growth witnessed in the first half of 2010.”  DSL planned an exciting holiday to Bangkok for their dealers as a way of expressing their gratitude for the loyalty and support through the years.

An eager and enthusiastic group, consisting of dealers and their families, took flight to Bangkok for what was an unforgettable holiday. The four-day vacation included a luxury cruise, safari tour and a calypso night, apart from the Dealer Convention, sightseeing and shopping trips.

Bimal Gunawardena, Managing Director, Universal Battery Works, Colombo 08 was awarded the ‘Dealer of the Year’ award for his extraordinary success in the sales of DSL’s automotive batteries.

The top 10 dealers of Douglas & Sons were further felicitated with special trophies for their exemplary contribution.
