FCCISL strikes agreement with Pakistan Chamber

Asif Ali Zardari President of the Republic of Pakistan along with high profile business delegation visited Sri Lanka from 28 -30 November 2010. One of the main events was Pakistan-Sri Lanka Business Forum 2010, which was held in Hilton Colombo on 29th November 2010. 

The President of Pakistan addressed the audience and interacted with the business community of Sri Lanka with an aim to discuss strategies to enhance trade and investments between the two countries. Following the speech by the President, Foreign Minister and the BOI Chairman of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka signed an Agreement of Cooperation with the objective of promoting the bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Here Sultan Ahmad Chawla (President of the Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry), and Tissa Jayaweera (President- Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sri Lanka) exchange the Agreement of Cooperation.
