Hapag enhances Indian Ocean Service

Hapag-Lloyd announced it will have a product enhancement to the Indian Ocean Service (IOS).

Accordingly it will add a Jeddah call both eastbound and westbound to its IOS service.

Revised port rotation:

Hamburg-Tilbury-Antwerp-Tanjiers-Cagliari-Suez Canal-Jeddah-Jebel Ali-Karachi-Nhava Sheva-Mundra-Jeddah-Suez Canal-Cagliari-Hamburg

First vessel with new rotation:

Eastbound

Cap Gabriel, Voyage 1201 (DP Voyage 43068), Jeddah Call January 23, 2011

Westbound

Bavaria Express, Voyage 0350 (DP Voyage 41468), Jeddah Call January 24, 2011

Hapag effects GRI on Indian Subcontinent Westbound

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for all cargoes and all container types from Indian Subcontinent Zone 1 ports to North Europe and the Mediterranean by USD 150 per TEU with effect from 7 February 2011

Indian Subcontinent Zone 1 comprises of North West Coast India (Nhava Sheva, Mundra) and Pakistan.
