Hemas Vesak lantern for 16th consecutive year

The Hemas Vesak lantern, which is now a landmark at Braybrooke Place in Colombo since 1998, was ceremonially inaugurated by Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Hunupitiya Gangarama temple on 22 May. This Vesak lantern will be on display till 31 May at Hemas House, 75, Braybrooke Place, Colombo 2. As in the past, this year’s ‘Vesak’ lantern will also be gifted to a temple in a rural village for next month’s Poson Festival.
