Informatics awarded ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 certification

Informatics Pvt Limited (IPL), the hardware arm of the Informatics Group of Companies was recently awarded the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 certification following a recent auditing process conducted by DNV, which is an internationally acclaimed independent body of assessors. ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 is an IT Service Management System (SMS) standard that specifies requirements for the service provider to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve an SMS. The requirements include the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to fulfil agreed service requirements. This quality management certification process spanned across all process areas within the IT Infrastructure Division, with audits being done for the areas that include Management systems, Planning and implementing service management, Service level management, Service reporting, Capacity management, Budgeting and accounting, Service continuity and availability management, Configuration management, Change management, Problem management, Information security management, Business relationship management and Supplier management. This certification will assist IPL to establish an on-going culture of continual improvement and learning within an organisation, providing a target to achieve and maintain. It will also  lead to continual improvement in the quality of IT services provided and increased business and customer confidence in the service provider and their ability to deliver. IPL will also be able to ensure that they focus on the implementation of a set of integrated processes and solutions that are appropriate, suitable and effective in meeting the needs of the business processes, the customers and the users they serve.
