Kamarangapitiya Tea Factory achieves all time record prices for BOP1A and BP grades

Kamarangapitiya Tea Factory, situated in Pelmadulla – Sabaragamuwa district achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 625 for a BOP1A grade and Rs. 660 for a BP grade at the weekly tea auctions held on 21 December.

This BOP1A invoice was purchased by M/s Almar Teas Ltd. and the BP invoice was purchased by Preventure Ltd. and marketed by M/s Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. Kamarangapitiya Tea Factory established in 2009 is under Asiri Group of Companies and is owned by Y.C. Weerasena. This tea factory is currently managed and overlooked by Jayanga Weerasena, son of Y.C. Weerasena.
