The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC), is scheduled to conclude its three-day visit to Weli-Oya today.
The visit was to study the true situation that existed when terrorism was active in the period February 2002 to May 2009.
Giving evidence before the Commission the Maha Sanga and civilians of Weli-Oya villages have revealed the enormous sufferings they endured during this period due to LTTE terrorist activities.
LLRC expects to conclude seeking evidence from the public on Monday. It is planning to seek the views from the people who are living in Welikanda and Palliyagodella villages in the Polonnaruwa District, who were threatened by terrorism, within the next few days.
The final report of the Commission is due to be presented to the President in May
