Luxury cruiser Nautica sails in with 628 tourists

Another passenger ship containing 628 tourists berthed at the Colombo Harbour during the early hours last morning.

Tourists from many countries, including America, England, New Zealand, Switzerland and Australia, were on board when the ship arrived in Sri Lanka.

The luxury carrier Nautica, owned by American-based company Oceania Cruises, contains 750 comfortable rooms with facilities such as conference rooms, swimming pools, golf courts, etc., and many other state-of-the-art conveniences for the passengers.

The vessel had started sailing from South Africa on 11 December and was in the Maldives before arriving in Sri Lanka. The next destination is Myanmar.

The vessel was welcomed by senior officials of Sri Lanka Tourism at the Colombo Harbour. Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Dr. Nalaka Godahewa, Harbour Masters of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Captain Ravi Jayawickrama and Acting Managing Director Malraj Kiriella were among the welcoming team.
