PC House PLC broke new ground with the launch of an IT supermarket, an innovative concept that makes shopping for IT needs more convenient.
The new ‘PCH 9 to 9’ showroom, now open in the PCH Building in Colombo 3, hails a new era in IT retail and is the first supermarket-styled IT store in Sri Lanka with a showroom displaying over 3,000 different products under a multiple range of brands.
Speaking at the showroom opening event, Anusha Palpita – Director General, Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRC SL) said, “This new store from PCH is a unique concept to Sri Lanka. The wide array of choice provided by this outlet shows PCH’s recognition of growing levels of awareness amongst Sri Lankan consumers.”
The showroom, which is open all 365 days of the year, provides customers with a wide variety of options and services by offering products of many popular brands under one roof. The Sunday shopping concept, open until 9 p.m., will give customers the opportunity to shop in leisure without the usual rush.
Customers can purchase branded PCs, PC parts for do-it-your-own or request technicians at PCH to assemble it for them. With over 13 years of experience in IT retail, the team at the PCH 9 to 9 will help customers make informed decisions that would best suit their individual needs.
Chairman of PCH S.H.M. Rishan said: “The new ‘PCH 9 to 9’ showroom is a way forward in simplifying the process of purchasing IT products for customers. We believe that our one-of- a-kind IT supermarket will become a popular choice for those seeking the best selection of brands and value for money along with assistance from experts in a great ambiance.
Customers can also look forward to free demonstrations, delivery and technical support within Colombo city limits. In order to make the experience at ‘PCH 9 to 9’ even more rewarding, there will be special offers everyday from 6-9 p.m., where customers can avail themselves to discounts and banded promotions among a host of other exciting deals.
PCH is the new corporate brand identity for PC House PLC which was recently listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. The new brand identity reflects the change from a family owned business to a public company with a vision to be the benchmark for ICT in Sri Lanka.
PC House was incorporated as a limited liability company in the year 2000, after having commenced business in 1997 and became PCH Plc. Its Board of Directors consists of S.H.M. Rishan, Mangala Boyagoda, Sarath Wikramanayake, Modarage Thilakasiri, Shanti Kumar Nadarajah, Kuvera de Zoysa and Sharmila Rishan.
