Raffles Colombo, a unique education provider in Sri Lanka specialising in Design, launched an exhibition tagged ‘APE’, defined Aspire, Progress and Evolve, a visual feast of work from the students in Visual Communication and Multi Media at Raffles, Colombo recently.
The event was graced by Aman Ashraff, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Ashraff Associates and other industrial partners who witnessed potential talent in the Multimedia and Visual Communication industry.
Speaking about the initiative Alex Quah, Director Raffles Colombo stated, “Creativity is a playground where processes occur. Designing entails initial ideas, experimentation, and refinement of concepts and finally, execution of these ideas. The work exhibited, captures a range of images on paper and projections which fill the space, treating the onlooker to various processes of creativity – through stages, documenting the journey of creativity and how students in their creative learning environments are able to ‘Aspire, Progress and Evolve’ in their specialist areas”.
He further added, “This exhibition illustrates how important the process of experimentation is throughout the creative process, as an essential tool for learning and expanding creative ideas. We congratulate our students and their team of dedicated Lecturers, especially to Sam, Sumanthri, Manisha and Zamruth, for their dedication, professionalism and passion for design”.
