THE Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) has garnered recognition as the ‘Most Favourite Sri Lankan English Website 2010,’ ousting over 8,000 LK domains to clinch the top spot in this category.
The competition for ‘The Most Favourite Sri Lankan Website Award,’ organised by .LK domain registry and hosted for the second consecutive year, saw web contenders vying for the top spot in vernacular and English language categories, the awards ceremony of which was held on 12 November at the Jubilee Room, Galle Face Hotel. This is the first time a campus website has become the most favourite website in the country. SLIIT is recognised for its undergraduate and master’s degree programmes in IT, business management and engineering and has 12,000 strong alumni. The institute’s website www.sliit.lk is managed by the Software Engineering Services Division (SESD) of SLIIT.
