TMC now in Kandy

UNDER its expansion drive, members of The Management Club (TMC) are in a privileged position to enjoy interaction with professional bodies and managers in the Kandy District with the opening of an Associate Club at the Mahaweli Reach Hotels PLC on Thursday 4 November 2010.

The Club base in Kandy follows two Clubs opened last year at the Camelot Beach Hotel, Negombo and the Hibiscus Beach Hotel, Kalutara, both Associate Clubs. TMC was also pleased to initiate Reciprocal Arrangements with the Dickoya-Maskeliya Cricket Club, Dickoya, thus drawing a different segment of professional managers into its fold.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between TMC and Mahaweli Reach Hotels PLC was officiated by Priyantha Hettiaratchi, Director, Mahaweli Reach Hotels PLC and Head of Operations in Sri Lanka for Universal Enterprises – Maldives Fayaz Saleem, President Emeritus –TMC, Athula Jayasekera, President Board of Management – TMC, Gamini Karunaratne, Senior Vice President – BOM, TMC and Col. Faiz-ur Rahman, Immediate Past President, BOM – TMC.  

Managing Director Mahaweli Reach Hotels Jayantha Panabokke sent congratulations in absentia at this special development between TMC and the hotel.

The Executive Committees of the Clubs have held numerous management related evening programs and day workshops aimed at continuous professional development. These programs are open to managers from all Clubs who are free to walk into any TMC club and avail of the benefits of these management programs upon presentation of a valid Membership Card.

The host hotels where each TMC Club is based welcome the members, their families and guests with an offer of a variety of discounts/benefit upon presentation of the member’s valid TMC membership card.
