Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Sri Lanka will hold a webinar on exploring the ‘Future of global aviation in a shifting landscape’, with a panel of industry experts on 30 June at 4.30 p.m.
CILT Vice President and Aviation Committee Chair Chaminda Perera said: “It is important to understand what lies ahead in the future for the aviation industry and the foreseeable disruptions that will take place post-pandemic. The webinar is expected to cover variety of topics in a global context.”
As international travel came to a near complete standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic, year 2020 was earmarked as the worst year in history for the entire aviation industry.
Ever since, airline companies have thus entered the crisis with strikingly different abilities to withstand such a shock and heterogeneous prospects for the future.
This event offers a unique platform for industry thought leadership in providing a bird’s eye view of the airline and aviation industry outlook on a global context.
The panellists are Sri Lankan Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer Vipula Gunatilleka, Fly Dubai Area Manager Kazakastan Marina Kuznechevskaya (FCILT), Air Asia Group General Manager India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal Suresh Nair, and Cathay Pacific Head of Sales and Country Lead Sri Lanka Karthik Radhakanthan. The moderator will be Civil Aviation Authority Sri Lanka Director Air Transport and Economic Regulations Rayhan Wanniappa
