Eagle Express partners European courier giant GLS

Eagle Global Express has joined hands with GLS which is one of the leading parcel service providers in Europe. 

Over 70 central and regional transhipment points throughout Europe and more than 1,000 depots are at the disposal of GLS. Currently the network delivers 1.5 million parcels inside Europe every day.

Modern distribution centres are linked to each other via line hauls. About 26,000 vehicles are on Europe’s roads for GLS on a daily basis. In addition, the Group uses air freight connections. Dense national networks ensure the reliable delivery of shipments in the countries.

Quality in parcel service has top priority for the Group – over 270,000 customers rely on it. In the process, GLS puts great emphasis on sustainability: The Think Green initiative consolidates all Europe-wide activities to protect the environment.

GLS covers 41 European countries and seven US states with its parcel services, expanding the network capability to Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and Africa While the majority is served via own subsidiaries, GLS cooperates with reliable partners in several other states.  

GLS headquarters welcome to their new partner Eagle Global Express in Sri Lanka as it has signed the contract as a starting point and GLS group now very excited to enter into the operational phase of the network connection, since GLS believes reliability is the passion.Eagle Express General Manager Rienzie Johar said: “We too very excited for representation of this European giant first time here in Sri Lanka and we are hoping to give all Sri Lankan customers a new experience in Europe, US, Arab and Africa.
