Feedertech launches Indian-Subcontinent Gulf Service via Colombo

Feedertech has announced expansion of its network of feeder services under Unifeeder/DP World Group, by launching a weekly service directly connecting three major ports to/from Colombo. 

This service will have two service partners, who will be joining hands with Feedertech. 

Each line will deploy a 1800Teu capacity vessel (3 x 1800Teu). The service will commence today (31 May) from Colombo.

ISG Service full rotation would be Colombo – Chennai – Colombo – Cochin – Jebel Ali – Cochin – Colombo. 

Feedertech has a strong presence in the Indian Sub-continent, with multiple services connecting Colombo. ISG will be the first own service of Feedertech to connect Cochin and Chennai with the Colombo Hub.

ISG service also supplements the existing Gulf bound AGI service providing twice weekly sailings ex: Colombo to/from Jebel Ali (to Exporters and Importers)

Simatech Marine Lanka Ltd., the local agents for Feedertech presently handles six weekly services on behalf of Feedertech. 

“ISG service launch is also expected to boost export/import as well as the transshipment and thru BL cargo connections both directions, from the existing services coverage starting from China, Thailand, Straits, Bangladesh, India and the Gulf,” Simatech said. 

The ISG will be the sixth service of Feedertech to be operated from JCT, at the Port of Colombo, in addition to one service calling at CICT.
