The International Airline Aviation College (IAAC), a leading training provider in Sri Lanka, was recently crowned the Best Airline Training College at the Asia Awards for 2023/24.
Since its inception in 2015, IAAC has grown into a premier aviation training institution, offering programs in cabin crew training, airport ground handling, cargo logistics, and airline ticketing and marketing. To date, over 2,000 IAAC graduates are employed in various airlines, logistics companies, travel agencies, and airports around the globe.
IAAC has hosted students from more than 15 different countries, solidifying its reputation as a premier international aviation training college.
The award ceremony was graced by Shipping, Ports and Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Board of Airline Representatives (BAR) Vice Chairman and Head of Kuwait Airways Sudesh Rupasinghe, Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Dr. Sumith De Silva, Air Traffic Control Manager Rasika Ranjikumara, Gulf Air Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Farooq Bhatti, China Eastern Airlines and Past SLAAR President Director/CEO Eustace Silva, Aviation Voice Sri Lanka Founder/CEO Dev Kowsala Samarajeewa, Amadeus Lanka Country Manager Dennis Fonseka, Ex Air Lanka Cabin Crew Tess de Kretser Ryan, Ex SriLankan Airlines Cabin Crew Dammi Eriyagama Piries and Ex SriLankan Airlines Cabin Crew Kamini Mukunathan and various other airline industry leaders attended.
