The International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL) launched its inaugural foundation course in Freight Forwarding, Multimodal Transport and Logistics, which will commence in May 2024.
Created by ICCSL Training, key project of International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka Training Education Committee. This course is certified by the Director General of Merchant Shipping and will give learners a clear understanding of each of the primary modes of international transport including sea, air, road, rail, and multimodal.
The inaugural training course in Freight Forwarding, Multimodal Transport and Logistics, is aimed to share the knowledge bank that the ICC Sri Lanka has in the industry. This course is ideal for people that want to enhance their skills and want to enter the profession. There is no organisation better placed than ICC – the organisation that created and maintains the Incoterms® rules – to help international traders learn how to apply these rules correctly to their global or domestic trade shipping transactions.
The ICC Sri Lanka’s foundation course on Freight Forwarding, Multimodal Transport and Logistics will give learners a clear understanding of each of the primary modes of international transport. These include their different commercial practices, freight calculations, and standard documents. The aim of the course is to increase the professional standard of those aspiring to take up employment in the shipping, logistics and supply chain management sector. This course also serves to enhance the knowledge of those who are already employed in these sectors and would enable them to become certified freight forwarders.
