During his recent visit to Sri Lanka, (IMF) International Monetary Fund Deputy Managing Director Kenji Okamura visited South Asia Gateway Terminals in the Port of Colombo, together with the State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe and a delegation of senior officials from the IMF, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Ports & Shipping Ministry, Finance Ministry and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
The delegation toured the terminal and thereafter participated in a discussion on the competitive standing, evolution and significant growth potential of the Port of Colombo as the primary container transhipment hub port in South Asia.
