K Line has announced the delivery of ‘Milano Bridge’, a 14,000-TEU Containership at Hiroshima Shipyard of Imabari Shipbuilding Ltd, Japan on 18 January.
This new ultra-large containership (hereafter called ULCS) is same as the series delivered in 2015 and first ship of the second generation. It will be deployed on the Asia-Mediterranean service (MED2) under THE-Alliance. ‘K’ Line has five ULCSs scheduled for delivery this year, bringing the total to 10 units.
