New Chairman assumes duties at Airport and Aviation Services

Northern Province former Governor Major General (Rtd.) G.A. Chandrasiri last week assumed duties as the Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd.

As a former senior officer in the Army, Chandrasiri served in a number of prestigious roles. He has functioned as the officiating Director General, General Staff at Joint Operation Headquarters until he was appointed Jaffna Commander in 2005. He was also the officiating General Officer Commanding of 52 Divisional Headquarters from 2002 to 2004. As Commander of the Armoured Brigade from 1998-1999, he earned the respect of his soldiers for his service and commitment to the Brigade.

Chandrasiri was twice appointed Governor of the Northern Province in 2009 and 2014.
