President inspects passenger scanning system at BIA

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa inspected the Customs Department’s passenger body scanning system at the arrival terminal at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on his arrival from India on Saturday. According to the Customs officials, the President was highly impressed about the body scanning process of Customs at BIA.It was also noted that the Customs officials explained about the detections done by using the body scanner and President Rajapaksa commended the effort taken by the Customs Department to control smuggling of narcotics, gold and so on. Aviation Services Minister Prasanna Ranatunga was also present at BIA.
