SALOTA Managing Director Kolitha Wickremasinghe
A major player among Sri Lanka’s international freight forwarding service providers, SALOTA International Ltd. stands tall as a huge pillar, celebrating its 10th anniversary under the visionary leadership of Kolitha Wickremasinghe.
Founded in 2013, SALOTA has become a pioneer in the industry, guided by a simple yet insightful philosophy that places the well-being of the company’s valuable staff at the forefront.
With over 25 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry, Wickremasinghe’s journey in the challenging and highly competitive field began in 1992. His belief in the fact that “If you look after your staff, they will look after your business,” has been the core of success, and SALOTA has proven over the years that its employees can take the company towards success.
As SALOTA commemorates “10 Years of Excellence,” the company’s vision, “Trendsetters in logistics, beyond borders,” reflects its ambition to go beyond local boundaries and make a mark on the global stage.
Under Wickremasinghe’s leadership, SALOTA has successfully expanded its operations beyond Sri Lanka. The company now proudly operates in Bahrain, Canada and Maldives, further solidifying its international presence. Behind these achievements stands the dedicated management team, with Director Nilu Mediwake Wickremasinghe, Wickremasinghe’s spouse, playing a crucial role in the success story.
The company tagline, “Partnership. On Trust,” has been the trademark of SALOTA for the past decade. As it steps into the future, the organisation has unveiled a new phrase, “Promise. Delivered.” This signifies the SALOTA’s continued commitment to delivering on its promises to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
In addition to its business achievements, SALOTA International has actively engaged in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. These initiatives include providing long-term scholarships for students in deserving families, supporting the well-being of families in rural and underdeveloped areas, and contributing to improve facilities in hospitals and schools, showing their commitment to giving back to the communities they serve.
