SLAMERP picks CL Synergy as preferred logistics partner 2019-2020

Sri Lanka Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Rubber products (SALMERP) has appointed CL Synergy Group as its official logistics partner for year 2019-2020.

SLAMERP President Prabhash Subasinghe said that the rubber industry which is a $ 1 billion- industry must look at all aspects of improving competitiveness. “Whilst we have other challenges such as sourcing adequate raw materials in Sri Lanka, we now import considerable volumes of imports for export processing. Logistics play an important role in our member supply chains for both exports and imports,” he explained.

Sri Lanka accounts for nearly 30% of the global solid tier export industry and 4% of rubber gloves and the industry is diversifying into other sectors. “We have some of the best global brands producing to the world market out of Sri Lanka. We now look at quality and reliable service providers and we need logistics companies to give us better supply chain solutions, this year we have decided to partner CL Synergy group as the official logistics service provider,” Subasinghe added. CL Synergy Group Managing Director Roshan Silva said that it was a great pleasure to partner the rubber industry of Sri Lanka and to give them logistics solutions to speed up and bring in efficacy to support the exporters.  He said that time has come to o work with the trade to jointly help Sri Lanka improve the export environment and as a group CL synergy is committed and has grown into be one of the biggest and a recognised brands for logistics in this part of the world.
