Human Resources and Development Director Nalin Aponso, Communication and Public Relations Chief Manager Chitral Jayawarna and Communication and Public Relations Senior Manager Nilantha Ilangamuwa present a copy of the SLPA COVID-19 Prevention Guideline to Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman General Daya Ratnayake
The second edition of the SLPA COVID-19 Prevention Guideline was launched on 13 January at the office of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority’s Chairman. This 28-page guideline highlights necessary precautionary and responsive measures to be implemented for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the workplaces of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. The first edition of this guideline was released at the beginning of last year.
Copies of this new edition were presented to the higher management of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority including Chairman General Daya Ratnayake, Vice Chairman Dr. Prasantha Jayamanne, and Managing Director A.D.A.S. Premachandra. Copies of the new guidelines were also distributed among the all divisions of SLPA and other ports in the country as well as among the members of the COVID-19 Preventive Actions Committee (CPAC). The CPAC initiated by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority comprising all institutes directly and indirectly involved in the operations and services of the Port of Colombo has implemented all necessary precautionary and responsive measures to prevent COVID-19 in ports and supply chain of Sri Lanka.
