The 29th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives (SLAAR) was held recently at Kingsbury Hotel Colombo under the Chairmanship of Srimath Fernando.
The event was graced by SriLankan Airlines CEO Richard Nuttel and it was well-attended by the dignitaries of civil aviation, airport aviation, other industry partners and regulatory authorities, SriLankan Airlines and all other member airlines representing both passenger and cargo airlines in Sri Lanka.
SLAAR was founded on 22 June 1993; since then the association has earned itself a reputation for being a vibrant entity that safeguards the interests of the industry and its members representing online and offline, passenger/cargo – airline GSAs.
The key objective of the association is to support the industry by working together with the industry stakeholders in solving many challenges relating to the industry in an efficient manner whilst continuing to support the country by ensuring that the foreign carriers continue to operate and increase frequency to Sri Lanka, bringing the much-needed tourists to the country.
It also continues to provide training and development for staff members of the industry and support various CSR projects for the benefit of the community.
