Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives plans out key initiatives for the future

The 28th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives (SLAAR), was held recently at the Taj Samudra hotel Colombo and the newly-elected committee held its first committee meeting to plan out activities for the year ahead.

SLAAR’s membership consists of Passenger & Cargo Airline General Sales Agencies (GSAs) and the Association’s primary objective is to address common issues related to the industry while safeguarding policies and interests of the Airline Principals represented by its members.  

Several initiatives revolving around industry affairs, training and development, PR and social media, social events, and CSR were planned out to align with the vision of SLAAR to become a trusted voice in the aviation industry in Sri Lanka. SLAAR strives to add value to the industry and its stakeholders through these initiatives. 

The newly appointed committee of SLAAR consist of GSA Air India Chairperson Thanuja Lankathilake, Hayleys Aviation Immediate Past Chairman Gerard Victoria, GSA Emirates Deputy Chairman Gyan Amerasinghe, GSA Maldivian Airlines Secretary Shamith Wijethilake, Leisure Cargo Lanka Treasurer Dumindu Amarathunge, GSA Saudia Asst. Treasurer Srimath Fernando, GSA Jazeera Airways Committee Member Chaminda Silva, GSA Kuwait Airways Committee Member Niranjan Athapaththu, GSA Singapore Airline Committee Member Praharshini Bolling, GSA British Airways Committee Member Sudeshinie Jayawardena, GSA Indigo Committee Member Sashini Muthuthanthri, GSA Malaysia Airlines Committee Member Sajith Amarasekera and GSA Malindo Air Committee Member Santhush Udumalagala.
