State Minister Kanaka Herath inspects Colombo Port

State Minister of Ports Development Kanaka Herath inspects the Port of Colombo from the breakwater constructed under the Colombo Port Expansion Project (CPEP). SLPA Additional Managing Director Upali De Zoysa and the Secretary to the State Minister of Port Development N.P.V.C. Piyathilake are also present

State Minister of Ports Development Kanaka Herath made a special port inspection tour on 12 December to review the present status of the Port of Colombo.  

State Minister of Ports Development Kanaka Herath inspects the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) premises. SLPA Additional Managing Director Upali De Zoysa and the Secretary to the State Minister of Ports Development N.P.V.C. Piyathilake are also present

During the tour he also visited the new Breakwater, the East Container Terminal and the pilot station constructed under the Colombo Port Expansion Project (CPEP) and the control centre of the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA). 

SLPA Additional Managing Director Upali De Zoysa briefed the State Minister about the future development plans of the Port of Colombo. 

The Secretary to the State Minister N.P.V.C. Piyathilake was also in attendance.
