Singapore: Business leaders from around Central Asia met to exchange notes on travel industry developments and to explore new business opportunities at the first Abacus Corporate Conference held recently in Almaty.
More than 200 participants were updated on latest hot topics such as the evolution and predictions of the corporate travel landscape, as well as lessons in travel procurement.
Pavel Spitsyn, General Manager of Abacus Central Asia, said, “The conference serves as an excellent forum for the corporate agencies, corporations and Abacus to discuss as well as exchange ideas on the latest industry trends and developments. Travel agencies are growing rapidly in the region, and Abacus wants to work closely with them to help improve their productivity, work processes and customer experience.”
One of the delegates from Kazakhstan, Victoria Pavlenko, Travel Projects Manager, ITE Group Plc., Iteca, shared her enthusiasm on a new online travel management solution from Abacus: “Abacus TripPlan demonstrates the innovation and value that we are all seeking in order to stay at the forefront of competition. The conference allowed for plenty of interaction amongst the delegates and many came forward to share their own learning and insights, including the need for innovative solutions such as Abacus TripPlan and Abacus TravelIntelligence. Abacus also shared other general industry trends seen today in Central Asia, and extended its appreciation to Rixos Hotel and Etihad Airways for their sponsorship of the event.
