CICT takes delivery of state-of-the-art terminal handling equipment

The latest batch of ship-to-shore quay cranes/rubber-tyred-gantry-cranes/terminal tractors for Colombo International Container Terminal (CICT) arrived over the weekend. The cranes have been manufactured at the world’s largest ship-to-shore crane manufacturing plant in Shanaghai, China. The terminal tractors have been purchased and shipped directly from USA. The CICT project is expected to be fully completed by early April with all equipment in place and construction completed within 28 months.
