Stronger Together: Global Strategies for Success in Logistics and Transport is the theme for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILT) International Convention this year.

The convention takes place on 13-16 September, at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The CILT International Convention is an opportunity for world leaders of supply chain, logistics and transport and CILT members from all member countries to discuss the latest industry issues across the globe.

Following the success of last year’s event in Malaysia, this year’s International Convention will bring together more than 200 international delegates from around 30 different countries.

Those attending will engage in a varied program of high-profile industry speakers and presentations throughout the four day Convention. There will also be a chance to participate in a mix of working sessions and networking opportunities with renowned international industry professionals.

A full list of speakers and itinerary will be confirmed closer to the Convention.

The first day of the convention features a Young Professionals Conference and Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Conference. The themes for WiLAT’s conference include; mentoring, empowerment, leadership and entrepreneurship and will include presentations from some of the industry’s most inspirational women. The Young Professionals Conference will have professional speakers in attendance and specialist consultants who will advise teams of young professionals as they compete in interactive logistical challenges.

Keith Newton FCILT, Secretary General, CILT International, says: “The International Convention provides us with a very exciting opportunity to come together and discuss the latest issues from around the world. Being in the Middle East, for the first time since 2005, is a great chance for more of our European and African members to join us. I urge all members to come and experience what being part of the CILT International family is all about and to network with and learn from some of the most celebrated professionals in our industry.”
