CMA CGM effects new rate restoration

CMA CGM Group last week announced a new rate restoration programme to a range of trades with different effective dates. It also announced Peak Season Surcharge.

Effective 1 September, 2011:

From Asia to West Med and Adriatic



+ USD 250 per TEU

Effective 15 September, 2011:

From Asia to West Africa:

+ USD 150 per TEU

From India and Middle East Gulf to East Africa:

+ USD 200 per TEU

From India and Middle East Gulf to West Africa:

+ USD 150 per TEU

Effective 1 October, 2011:

From North Europe to Mediterranean:

+ EUR 125 per TEU (GBP 100) for all cargo moving between North Europe - Scandinavia and Mediterranean ports

From West Med, East Med, Black Sea to US East Coast:

+ USD 200 per 20’

+ USD 300 per 40’ dry and reefer

Effective 15 October, 2011:

From North Europe to Indian Ocean (on Mascareignes service):

+ EUR 150 per TEU for all cargo moving between North Europe/Med to Indian Ocean destinations (Réunion/Mauritius/Madagascar/Mayotte/Comores)

From East Med/Middle East/Gulf/India to Indian Ocean (on Mascareignes service):

+ USD 150 per TEU for all cargo moving between East Med/Middle East/Gulf/India to Indian Ocean destinations (Réunion/Mauritius/Madagascar/Mayotte/Comores)

Peak Season Surcharge

Effective 15 September, 2011:

From Asia to West Med and Adriatic

+ USD 75 per TEU

From Asia to South Africa (Shaka service)

+ USD 200 per TEU

*TEU = twenty foot equivalent unit
