DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has been ranked number one among the ‘10 Best Multinational Workplaces in Asia 2017’ for the second consecutive year, as announced by global research and consultancy firm, Great Place To Work Institute. This ranking is based on an anonymous survey with criteria including ‘trust in management’, ‘pride in work’ and ‘camaraderie’. DHL Express ranked number one under the ‘Best Multinational Workplaces’ category, among 1,400 other Asia Pacific-wide businesses that scored highly on these criteria.

In addition, DHL Express Sri Lanka triumphed at the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ awards ceremony 2017 held on 28 June by winning the ‘Best Multinational Corporation in Sri Lanka’ and Gold in the ‘Best Medium Sized Enterprise’ categories.
According to Great Place to Work, employees enjoy working in DHL because they are proud of the organisation and are satisfied with the role they play in DHL. DHL Express Sri Lanka, which has won the ‘Great Place to Work’ award for the third consecutive year, has contributed to DHL’s ‘Best Multinational Workplaces’ overall number one ranking in Asia.
Commenting on the achievement, DHL Express Sri Lanka Country Manager Dimithri Perera said, “Our focus is to provide the right working environment for our employees so that they can perform at an optimum level every day. We do so by creating a positive and stimulating work environment, by placing our people at the centre of what we do and empowering them to do well and succeed. The wins are a testimony that our employees trust the company that they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the company of people they work with, hence assuring our position as the ‘Employer of Choice’.”
DHL Express Sri Lanka continues to implement various employee appreciation programs. Surveys are also routinely conducted for employees to provide anonymous feedback and share their ideas on improving business processes and services.
“This is the second time that DHL Express has achieved the ‘Best Multinational Workplaces in Asia’ award, which echoes the sentiments of the employees here in Sri Lanka. We pride ourselves in putting our people first and creating a friendly environment where employees participate in the decision-making and becomes an integral part of the overall success of the organisation,” added Perera.

We have continuously achieved strong employee satisfaction scores, as well as put in place an extremely successful talent management strategy. Our employees came together to maximise regional collaboration while keeping our country identity in place.” In addition to achieving the ‘Best Multinational in Asia’ award for two consecutive years, this marks the third consecutive year in which we have achieved the top 25 ‘Best Workplaces’ list in Sri Lanka.”
