The organising committee
Supply chain logistics company Eagle Logistics facilitated another forum for its customers on International Trade Compliances at Lakshman Kadirgamar Centre on 8 February.
The forum consisted of international trade compliances, marine insurance and international payment methods which most importers deal on day-to-day basis.
International Trade compliance was covered by Dinesh Desilva, Chairman Import Section of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Marine Insurance by Nadira Gunawardena from Sri Lanka Insurance while Dassana Dangolla from Commercial Bank of Ceylon addressed the International Payments. All three key speakers showed the audience the important areas to follow when you place an import consignment from the international market.
This is the seventh awareness event organised by Eagle Logistics and speaking to the audience Eagle Logistics Managing Director Asanga Weerackody said, “The company always does things differently during the last 12 years and it is our duty to arrange these types of events where importers get knowledge and they can put it to practice in their day-to-day activities to avoid losses etc.
It was a three hour forum with over 150 participants representing 80 companies in Sri Lanka. Customers too expressed their satisfaction as Eagle Logistics is the only forwarder who arranges these types of educational events for its customers.
This is another event organised by the CSR Unit of Eagle Logistics.
