Sri Lankan-based supply chain logistics provider Eagle Logistics will be organising its first-ever supply chain forum which will be held at the Board of Investments auditorium on 16 July in Biyagama, Malwana.
This will be the very first supply chain forum organised by a freight company in Sri Lanka for the benefit of companies interested in supply chain management.
Eagle Logistics Colombo CEO Asanga Weerackody stated: “Supply chain management encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement, conversion, and all logistics management activities. So logistics and freight forwarding is just another part of supply chain management and it is important that we understand the total process in order to be a service provider in this chain. This is one of the reasons for Eagle Logistics Colombo to be a member of ISMM (Institute of Supply and Materials Management of Sri Lanka) as well.”
This program will be jointly held with ISMM and ISMM Vice President Gayani De Alwis will be conducting the forum to introduce the ‘Importance of Supply Chain Management in an Organisation’ to the audience while Nestle Lanka PLC Vice President Supply Chain Chathura Dissanayake will be joining as the guest speaker to share his experience on supply chain management.
Eagle Logistics Colombo has six branch offices in Sri Lanka and the Eagle Biyagama branch will be organising this event for their customers.
