Etihad Cargo, a part of UAE’s national airline Etihad Airways, has unveiled a new service for residents who book personal cargo shipments to earn Etihad Guest Miles and Tier Miles.
The new initiative is aimed at rewarding customers who send personal effects by air cargo, including furniture, automobiles, household objects, or even pets.
Etihad Guest Miles are earned based on the type of shipment and route flown.
The members of Etihad Guest Silver, Gold or Gold Elite tiers will also earn bonus miles. They can redeem miles earned for flights and upgrades or can choose from more than 7,000 items on the Etihad Guest Rewards Shop. Alternatively, customers can convert miles to cash with PointsPay.
Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, said: “Etihad Cargo and Etihad Guest have come together again, this time for the benefit of individual cargo customers.
