Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, officially received its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) last week. In May this year, Gulf Air renewed its place on the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Registry until 2013 after successfully completing the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) safety audit requirements.

Gulf Air Chief Operations Officer Capt. Nasser Al Salmi said, “The IOSA certification reassures our customers that they are flying with an airline that conforms to strict international safety standards. Passenger safety is top priority for Gulf Air and the IOSA certificate is a testament to our commitment that we fly our aircraft to the highest level of operational safety.” Here Gulf Air Chief Operations Officer Captain Nasser AlSalmi (centre) is seen receiving Gulf Air’s IOSA certificate from IATA officials Achim Baumann (left) and Lyad Hindiyeh
