Hanjin Shipping introduces Japan-Thailand services

Hanjin Shipping is introducing new services between Japan and Thailand effective middle of December.

Named JTE (Japan – Thailand Express), this new service is jointly operated with APL on weekly basis and the partner carriers are deploying three of 1,700TEU class vessels in the service.

In addition, Hanjin Shipping is expanding its network in the route by participating in the existing JTV (Japan – Thailand – Vietnam) service through space swap program. JTV is currently operated by APL with three of 2,500TEU class ships.

Hanjin Shipping comments that the introduction of these services will enhance their network and market presence in the intra-Asia market where demand continues to grow along with the economic development.

Port Rotation: Tokyo – Yokohama – Nagoya – Kobe – Chiwan – Hong Kong – Laem Chabang – Saigon – Kaohsiung - Tokyo

Commencement Date (for Hanjin Shipping): 23 December 2012 (ETA Tokyo)
