Hapag imposes Peak Season Surcharge on Eastbound Trans-Pacific Trade

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a Peak Season Surcharge effective June 15, 2011.

The Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) will be for all dry, reefer, flat rack and open-top containers from Asia including Indian Sub-Continent to all Canada and USA destinations.

The Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) levels are as follows:

Effective Date:    June 15, 2011 (date of cargo receipt at origin)

Scope:    Asia including Indian Sub-Continent to Canada and USA

Quantum:    USD 320/20’ standard container

USD 400/40’ standard container

USD 450/40’ high cube container

USD 506/45’ high cube container

45’ containers not available from India Sub-Continent
